You can highlight squares singly or in blocks by selecting the
color you want then painting with your mouse.
There are 5
available colors and you choose what category you want each to
represent (Holiday, Sickness, Training etc).
You can also select the start of your holiday year, and the
Planner will adjust its display to suit, enabling coverage of
two calendar years.
Unlike the wall version, one click on a menu gives you total
days booked and total days taken, for all employees by
category for the time being taken off. Another improvement to
the wall version is the ability to select previous and future
years (this can save a lot of wall space!!!)
It can be run across a local or wide area Windows network -
one machine is designated as master during set-up, and all
others as slaves. Data is held centrally on the master
computer.
The master computer can administer all employees, but slaves
can only administer staff entered on that slave computer -
this enables satellite offices to administer their own staff
whilst being able to view all staff. All staff are viewable on
all machines.
It is possible to record individual leave entitlement, and the
Staff Totals screen will highlight in red any employee who has
booked more than their holiday entitlement.
