There are 13 different symbols, which pay on each of the paylines if a payline is active. The Scottish Thistle symbol is a scatter symbol, which will pay in ANY position on any line. The Scottish Shield symbol is a wildcard which substitutes for all symbols except scatters.

In this game, the following feature is played when three or
more scattered Pagodas (four Pagodas in the Special Edition)
show on the reels.
Highland Feature
If a wildcard (blue shield) appears on the FIRST and LAST reel
in the same spin, the Highland Feature is triggered.
The Scottish doors will then close. You must then choose a
shield on the left and right sides of the screen. The shield
on the left side reveals the number of free spins (maximum
20), and the shield on the right side of the screen reveals
the multiplier for the pokies free spins. If you do not choose
within 10 seconds, the game will choose automatically.
The first and last reels are locked in place for the duration
of the free spins - ensuring big payouts as the wildcards will
substitute for all symbols except scatters.
Mystery Pays
During the free spins, "Mystery Pay" symbols appear at random
