Rummi Main
Features:
- Play against the
computer
While you are still rearning the game, or when there is
no-one else to play with, you can play a game against the
computer. There are six computer players, with their own
names and different playing tactics.
With most games, you can set a limited thinking time per
turn, from 30 seconds to unlimited.
- Play with real humans
One of the most exciting features of Rummi is that you can
play the game online against real humans. Whether you play
with your family members on your home network, play with
friends over the internet, or meet new people in an open
game, playing Rummi online is fun.
You can even add computer players to your game when you are
playing online with real people.
- Getting started
When you are new to the game, Rummi offers excellent help to
get you started. First, you can do the tutorial: a step by
step walkthrough of an entire game, where you learn the
basic game rules and how to use the program.
Then there is the help file, with in-depth explanations of
every game rule, and examples. And finally, at any time
during a game you can ask the computer to show you a
possible move so you can learn about moves and combinations.
- Easy to play
In Rummi, gameplay is as easy as possible. You move tiles by
simple drag and drop, and with the right mouse button you
can pick up two or more tiles at once. Tiles will snap into
place, and will move out of the way to make room for others,
so you don't need to move tiles around that you didn't
actually play.
When the table has become so crowded that it is difficult to
see a move, you can re-arrange all tiles with a single mouse
click and have the perfect overview again. Also, you can
keep the tiles in you hand sorted in several useful ways.
And whenever you did something not-so-clever, you can always
undo every move in your turn, and redo them if necessary.
- Keep your own scoring
Don't you just hate it when other people play a game on your
pc and mess up your nice high score? That's why you can add
new player names in Rummi. Everyone can play with their own
name, and everyone has their own scoring statistics.
And when you're in the middle of a game and run out of time,
you can save your game and resume it later.
- Play your own favorite
variation
People play Tile Rummy games many different variations;
sometimes it seems that everybody is used to yet another way
of playing the game. Therefore you can add your own games in
addition to the eleven built-in games. Using the game
editor, you can combine ten game rules, each with several
options. So with Rummi, you can play your own favorite
variation of the game.
With all those possible game variations, it's sometimes hard
to remember the exact rules. So you can always pop up a
summary of the game rules with a single mouse click. And
should you try something that is against the rules, Rummi
will let you know by showing a unique and handy popup
explanation.
- Themes and card sets
Rummi comes with several sets of numbered tiles, tiles with
card symbols, playing cards, and even fantasy elements like
Maya pebbles. You can set the colors and sound effects of
the game to different themes.
